When I was diagnosed with degenerative disc disease (DDD) and a ruptured L5-S1 disc, I went all-in on what I thought was the “solution.” I spent hours doing planks, bird dogs, and endless core exercises, convinced that if I could just “strengthen my core,” my pain would finally go away.
