3 Back Pain Exercises That Fix 95% of Bad Backs
If you avoid bending down to tie your shoe at all costs due to the chance of throwing out your back, the problem may be bigger than the movement itself.
Maybe you’ve already done PT.
You’ve had the scans, tried the stretches, paid for injections, chiropractic care, or even more advanced procedures.
Yet you still catch yourself hesitating before bending, twisting, or arching your back because there’s that thought in the back of your mind:
“What if this sets me back again?”
Because chronic back pain isn’t always maintained by damaged tissue alone. Your nervous system can learn to associate certain movements with danger, and every time you avoid those movements, you reinforce the message that your body still needs protection.
That’s where these 3 back pain exercises come in.
In this video, I’ll show you how to begin rebuilding your tolerance to the three movement patterns people with chronic back pain often fear most: bending, extending, and twisting.
You’ll learn how a gentle forward fold can reintroduce spinal flexion without forcing your body into a range it doesn’t trust yet.
You’ll see how simple tummy-time positions can gradually expose your spine to extension while allowing the muscles around your back to stop guarding.
And I’ll walk you through a controlled seated rotation that helps you practice twisting without treating rotation like something your spine should never do.
But there’s an important step before any of that.
✅ Reduce sensitivity before asking your body to do more. That’s why I also show you simple breathing positions that can help calm unnecessary tension before you move.
This is the foundation of my Hybrid Relief Method™:
Desensitize the Nervous System → Build Tolerance → Build Resilience.
These aren’t exercises you need to attack.
They’re opportunities to give your nervous system new evidence that movement can be safe again.
Your goal isn’t to become fearless overnight.
Your goal is to slowly rebuild the confidence and capacity your back has been missing.
