Morning low back pain is one of the most frustrating experiences anyone could have when it comes to back pain. There is so much that can happen in the middle of the night that could set your lower back on high alert. From rolling into a less ideal position, getting up too fast or not breaking poor sleeping habits before it’s too late. No matter where you are in your back pain journey the most important thing you could do is maximize and optimize how you approach your strategy to gain more control of your back pain after waking.
In today’s video I want to give you my top 4 strategies that I use and give to clients to jump-start their approach to addressing their nagging morning back pain. If you want to go back in time, Over a year ago I covered this strategy here.
Before you get too worried about the sensitivity you are experiencing, its best to take a step back from the reality of what you’re experiencing and do a little critical thinking. There are a lot of reasons why your lower back could be sensitive right now. Reasons such as:
-Too much stretching in your routine.
–Poor sleeping position.
-Too soft of a surface.
-Hyper Sensitive from overdoing it in the gym, the garden or around the house.
-Too many manipulations and/or adjustments trying to “fix” what you think is wrong.
The list goes on….unfortunately
Because there are so many potential irritants, what I always suggest to students is to do a full audit of their lives. What habits do they have that could be keeping them on this repeating cycle of pain? Most people will jump right into treating the pain site which is NOT what we want to do. As a matter of fact, this 1 strategy here is one of the most powerful ones I use today.
So instead of us talking about BS short term relief tricks that don’t work. I want to share with you the 4 long term strategies that I have seen the most success with!
So without further ado, let’s jump in!
